First Ladies: Female Rap, Grime and R&B Artists Dominate BBC’s Sound of 2017

It’s been a HUGE year for women in all genres of music – Rap, Grime, Electro and R&B – and this has definately been reflected in the BBC’s Sound of 2017 list which they dropped today. The BBC announced their colourful line up today, with Black artists making up over half of the list which also features seven female solo artists including R&B favourite Ray BLK, sould songstress Jorja Smith, dancehall inspired diva Stefflon Don and MOBO award winning Nadia Rose.
